This training ‘International Responsible Business Conduct for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)’ has been developed as part of the Social Sustainability Fund (SSF). This program is executed by the Netherlands Agency for Enterprises (RVO) in commission of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

RVO is a government agency and supports entrepreneurs, NGOs, knowledge institutes, policymakers and organisations to invest, develop and expand their businesses and projects. Both in the Netherlands and abroad.

The Social Sustainability Fund (SSF) aims to support companies and their local producers and suppliers in socially responsible business practices. SSF helps companies to improve social sustainability in their supply chains by focussing on:

• Producers and suppliers earn a living wage or income;
• Production chains are child-labour-free;
• Workers and small producers have decent working conditions.
